I like to strip down the detail in a particular landscape and focus on the repeating patterns in architecture that are often overlooked. I particularly like brutalist architecture where there’s often many large repeated modular components grouped together. The UTS tower is one of my favourite buildings in Sydney for this reason and was chosen as the subject for this series of paintings.
